A travel crib is easier to choose when you know how often you will carry it and where you will set it up. Check the packed dimensions as well as the open size.<\/p>\n

Compact or Siesta?<\/h2>\n

Britton Compact travel crib<\/a> weighs 9.5 kg and comes with a carry bag. Britton Siesta travel crib<\/a> weighs 13 kg and adds two sleeping levels, wheels with brakes and a mosquito net. Both product pages list open dimensions of 124.5 \u00d7 64.5 \u00d7 78 cm and packed dimensions of 23 \u00d7 23 \u00d7 78 cm. Compact may be easier to carry; Siesta offers additional features if those fit your routine.<\/p>\n

Look beyond the weight limit<\/h2>\n

Both list a maximum child weight of 15 kg at the lower level. Siesta’s upper level has a separate 6.8 kg limit. Weight is not the only stopping rule: follow the full instructions for developmental limits, including sitting, pulling up and climbing.<\/p>\n

Check the mattress separately<\/h2>\n

Britton Lagom travel mattress, 60 \u00d7 120 cm<\/a> is a folding 60 \u00d7 120 \u00d7 5 cm travel mattress with a removable cotton cover. Those dimensions alone do not prove approval for a particular crib or level. Follow the crib’s supplied instructions and ask Speli if compatibility is unclear. Never stack mattresses or add padding just to make the surface softer.<\/p>\n

Practice before leaving<\/h2>\n

Assemble the crib at home, check every lock and make sure the sleep surface is firm, flat and clear. Choose a suitable position away from cords and heat sources. Follow the same safer-sleep routine away from home.<\/p>\n
